I picked the field names to match the standard /etc/passwd
field names. The pw_uid field is no longer used. It was orginally
used to enable/disable APOP support. But that code was re-written

I have 2 domains (helenlarsen.com and silentcooperative.com). they're also
virtual domains. I've created users both in /etc/passwd and shadow, as well
as vadduser'd a user for the helenlarse

recreate the /var/qmail/users/assign file from /etc/passwd entries.

This gave us a pretty complete list, and after we migrated all the mailboxes
across, we just fielded the tech calls from any remaining users and reset
their passwords as appropriate.
Make sure you compile vpopmail with "--enabl

I have vpopmail's home directory to be /usr/local, which puts tcp.smtp[.cdb]

Vpopmail uses vchkpw file for authentication and u the service pop3 uses
/etc/passwd file.
So disable the pop3 service and smtp services from setup and edit the
file /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-pop3d/run
so as it look like..
