Without this your hard drive will turn into a floppy, which isn't
allowed on an iMac.

PS I use the oven (set low) to dry my boards.

would you use on a PC? Could you bring it down a level and be more
specific than nuke the drive, so we can learn something?

need one of the
earlier models that do have an external supply.
I found hem to work with anything from OS 6.0.8L up to OS 7.6.1 (max
for a Classic II).
Very useful device.

Plus 200 VGA monitors (via adaptors) for fun at work for a
while. Loads of space to six in :-)
Back at home I normally use one to drive a Apple mono portrait. Then I
get 256 grey shades - and it looks good. For mono monitors that's all
you need.

secure RAID schemes. I liked the idea of having some secure storage
available on my home network. I've just got hung up making the basics
work. Also FWB HDTK can only do RAID 0 or RAID 1 :-( Got any other s/w
suggestions?
John
P.S. My wife thinks RAID is supposed to get rid of bugs - not create
.
It is also suggested that you zap your PRAM.
It doesn't get that far :-(
Hoping for more help,

What no-body has mentioned is that the IIsi can run OS 6.0.8L, which
the LCIII cannot.
The only dilemia with the IIsi is Video card v's NIC in that single
NuBus slot.

both drives mount correctly, and have run a long test on the two drives
with no errors.
The two wide drives are id 0, and 1, and the JackHammer shows up as id

FWIW does anyone know how they are under OS 6.0.8?
The only Apple NuBus card I've tried was broken. However I have used
(am using) Asante under 6.0.8, and I think the drivers say 6.0.7 is the
minimum.

datatbase.
This may have also been helped by having an Asante hub as well, though
I have used the same to connect into work networks with no problem.
I also have a Reudo NuBus NIC (currently in a IIci) which is nice
because it uses the Apple drivers.
