something that was hand written on a whiteboard by chance? If the text you are
trying to capture from it is not typed text but is hand written, I don't think
any OCR process will be able to capture

I think you need a sighted person there who can see what you are doing wrong.
For that to work, though, you would need to temporarily turn off the screen
curtain and turn up the brightness.
