both in the iOS Photo app and the MacOS photo app

initially so I did a hard reset of my iPhone 13 Mini leaving the speaker turned
on and after I input my passcode, Voiceover was coming through the speaker as I
swiped through my home screen items. Books and other media still play through
the speaker as before after doing
to a bluetooth device.there is another setting in voiceover / audio, and lets you set the audio destination for both speech and sound. But again, turning on or off the speech destination to the phone or bluetooth device makes no difference. By the way, I have trouble just flicking to this setting
Also, what about the audio destination option in the roter? Doesn’t this
determine where the VoiceOver output is going? Unfortunately, I can’t test it
myself right now.

At the Apple Store, the techs were only able to restore speech after a complete
reset of the phone. After the complete reset VoiceOver began operating.
Apparently there are no technical bulletins on this issue.

I went back and tried Mark's steps. With VoiceOver on, that speaking controller
is very inconsistent at best. And, I never could get it to work with Kindle.
However, just using VoiceOver, and getting to where I wanted to start reading,
and swiping down with two fingers VO read just fine
Also, maybe get something talking and turn up Volume.

I thought that was mostly for non-VoiceOver users, or in the case of speak
screen, if you wanted to lock the phone while reading something lengthy. But
speak screen only requires a two finger swipe down from the status bar... In

found it at the top next to the volume up button on the left side
