Worked it out for those interested. Just trash the plist file in ~/
Library/Preferences. It will recreate itself and all is well.

Your friend needs Disk Warrior 303 for 10.4.7. It is a free upgrade
from Alsoft's site. I would then run DW and I guess that will fix the
problem.

That's a bit like those old floppies [1.44 mb weren't they]. Anyone
else remember those? If you did not empty the trash after deleting
data from the floppy and before ejecting the floppy, the data
remained on the floppy.

can't be the reason. Lately there have been a few
instances where I have received duplicate emails [same date, time,
from address] on a few lists including this one. Only occurs
sporadically. Undoubted voodoo.
