I don't think that is an ideal explanation, though I get what you are driving 
at.

at the 2nd and 3rd level, it should not be the detail of how you buy the pen, 
but of the detailed behavior offered by the pen and how you use it.  Buying is 
capability offered by some buying service, that has its own behavior - and can 
be used for buying anything.
