is silver really non-magnetic.
My textbook says
metallic silver is diamagnetic. There is a repulsive force out of a
unhomogeneous magnetic field.
Single valent silver is also diamagnetic.
Bivalent silver is paramagnetic. The particles are sucked into a
unhomogeneous magnetic field.
The forces are small. But nowadays magnets are very strong.
