yeah but the actual wave of the microwave is only like 1/2"...so when your moving the radio 45* look at the packet loss while doing a large file transfer they go through the roof.

I haven't used the Totals, but I have used 13dBm flat panels and I can move
those 45* out without noticeable signal loss and 90* with about 1/3 signal
loss. Up and down I can move 45* with 1/4 signal loss. Take a look at the
radiation map for your antenna for some idea.

The radio just needs to move 1/2" in either direction to through the microwave off someone told me, since the wave is only 1/2" or something, anyone else ever hear of this? I noticed it doesnt take much to move the ABT when mounted with the bracket. Definatly needs two arms.

Alex,
My thought on the mount is that it should have two arms to
attch the radio to rather then just one arm. The metal is
plenty heavy enough to hold the radio, but if there are two
arms then there would be two bolts also which would be much
more stable in the wind. I don't realy think a star washer
is needed as there is already a lock washer included, but
none the less we need to have lock washers for the bolts.

As for bending the bracket like Jason is talking about.
That can be fixed by using a mount with a small mast which
are not very expensive. We use some kind of mount on every
install so that we can adjust the radio in every direction.
It can be as simple as a piece of pipe and some clamps with
a few lag bolts. We have a great mount that we use for the
ABT. I belive we get it from EC. I can get a part #
tomorrow from the office if anyone is interested.

Thanks............Dan

WAIT!!! Don't do that unless you have a new mounting
bracket as well. Since the bracket does not allow 3D
adjustments, bending the metal is the only current
option in some installations.

Thank you for the responsiveness, nonetheless!

Based on the feedback from many users, about metal
plates being a little too light, we will increase the
thickness of the metal plate for the TOTAL to make it
more robust.

Any other suggestion are welcome.
