When sizing a water tank, OH design requires 60 to 90 minute water supply for sprinklers
Is 250 gpm outside hose allowance also 60 to 90 minutes? It seems to me they are both independent requirements. There will be a time lag between the two and the fire department could be drawing out more than the 250 gpm, for a longer or shorter duration. The question is will the intent of the code be satisfied if the total water requirements (sprinklers and hose allowances) be supplied for 60 to 90 minutes?
