NFPA 13, 2007 section A.11.2.3.1.8 (9). Doesn't it appear to require inside
hose allowance to be added to the sprinkler demand at the point of
connection?

WHat does the presence of the 2-1/2 have to do with this issue (unless  
you are supply the standpipe supply per 14)?   The sprinkler calc does  
not include an inside hose demand for hose connections on a standpipe.
