That reference is for the 02 edition. It moved to 11.1.5.6 in the 07 edition where the Annex did indeed say - add 50 gpm per hose connection up to 100 gpm for the 2-1/2 connection. In the 2010 ed we corrected that mis-statement and in A.11.1.6.6 (yea it moved from .5 to .6) that portion of the sentence was intentionally deleted.
