Are suction and discharge valves of a jockey pump required to be supervised? Section 5.16.1 (NFPA 20 2007) says 'yes', but doesn't clarify if its intended to apply to both fire pumps and jockey pumps. Anybody want to speculate on the intent? I've always put tamper switches on them, but now I'm wondering if it's required or not.
