the 20' width is only the sloped area
the structure is manufactured steel channel 1' w by 20" deep spaced
approx 10-6 on center
the roof is steel metal panels
the lower ceiling on each side is about 12' wide along the entire length
parallel to the peak, but in the middle on each side a corridor goes
both directions...everythign else is easy but this part.

What kind of structure is the exposed part? How wide is the opening to
the peak? Full 20" or does the 20 ft include the lower ceiling area?

The situations is this:
Preface - I have already exhausted the "you can't because" in trying
to convince him to run two lines exposed in this space.
Light Hazard
Corridor / Lobby with a center section Sloped, exposed construction
8 in on 12in - 20' in width
On each side the ceiling drops about 4' to smooth flat ceilings
The architect wants to find a way to eliminate exposed pipe. He
prefers to use sidewalls on the vertical 4' sides which I told him we
could not do..
His question is can he install detection at the peak, use sidewalls
as described above with a deluge valve.
Does anyone have any other creative ideas for this situation?
Thanks,
Greg
