**Thread hijack** Heard RUMORS that the 4-alarm warehouse fire in Grand Prairie today had ESFR's. Not sure if they were installed where the fire started. Just saying. :)

Remember, I'm a sprinkler guy- what do I know about egress distances? I know that from this Forum and Convention, I talked to two key Forumites that helped me thru what I needed to know- all during the 75 minute drive from here to hearing. Funniest recollection of that was an FPE saying "You could say that" in response to my intended logic trail. So I said "so its valid and credible" or something like that. The FPE responded with " No, YOU could say that but I couldn't-I know better." It worked and the Architect was a sharp cookie who was likely FAR more competent than me to understand the egress distance. I pretty much harped on ESFR effectiveness, and how the test videos show 40 seconds of big flame going up, POP, and 40 seconds till the fire is beat down to the crib.
