Glad to hear about the progress. No need to apologize...I figured trying
opendns couldn't hurt. It's hard to tell what's going on. The fact that
posted screenshots was helpful and showed you we're willing to make an
effort. You must have had at least -some- luck with your first
Squeezebox purchase before deciding to spring for another one (or maybe
not). In any case, I hope you eventually correct the problems and gain
satisfaction. I wouldn't want to patronize you by saying “don't give
up” cause that's your call obviously. I only have one Squeezebox (a
classic with the blue display).

I agree it's unlikely your WPA passphrase was broken. It's good you're
using WPA, not WEP. It seems unlikely that someone is leeching your
connection. You can always check into that by doing a speed check
and/or seeing what clients are connected to your router (some routers:
one of mine does, the other one does not).

There are so many things to try; it's hard to know for certain what,
-if anything,- will help. You've probably seen other threads where
people say this is the worst product they've ever bought. My SB works
pretty much as intended, but I can tell it's very confusing to operate
for the non-geeks in my family.

I read in the NY Times last week that 40% of all consumer routers are
returned to the store where they're bought. Not because of defect but
because they're too hard to set up. I don't know if it's true but it
sounds plausible.
