Slim, you are right to be hesitant. Leave that setting at PPoE. What copperstate and myself are referring to regards DHCP on the *local* side, not the *WAN* side. Don't mess with the WAN connection.
- - - I could not make my Squeezebox Classic show my router's address as the value for DNS servers. It -does- show my router address as the gateway value regardless of how the DNS is configured. If I erase the -OpenDNS- IP values from my router's DNS setup page, my router obtains its DNS server addresses from SW Bell/AT&T. The router then hands out these DNS values to the Squeezebox when the Squeezebox obtains its IP from the router (via DHCP). Currently, I setup my router to use SW Bell's DNS (by leaving the data fields blank). When I check my Squeezebox's firmware's Current Settings menu it shows 68.94.156.1 and 68.94.157.1 as the DNS values. Thanks for posting your menu settings. Interesting that you have only 20 but I have 21 items. -- Danny8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Danny8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77280 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
