More and more I am starting to believe you have a problem with either
your router/gateway or your ISP.

It would be good if you had access to a different modem and or gateway
for testing purposes.

Alternatively, If you had a friend or family member to whose home you
could take your Squeezebox Boom to and test, that might show your Boom
in a better light (if it worked better). Preferably, someone who didn't
have a 2-Wire gateway (or best, a geek with networking knowledge).
