(LOL)
I'm sorry!! At times when I get passionate about subjects, I use these "analogies" that (unfortunately) I assume that "everybody" understands. And so I kinda chuckle when heads turn to me ... with "huh, whatddya talking about". I'm sorry, what I meant was that the position that I see a "lot of enviromentalists" take is for more and more "government regulation". Which ends up becoming "more and more government watching" ... to see if we are complying. Then, taking that intrusiveness to the limit ... I was simply saying that at THAT point ... privacy/intrusiveness-wise we'd be no better off than former "Soviet Citizens". Constantly watched. Constantly monitored. Constantly "regulated". I'm really bad with words sometimes. Maybe someone else in the group can explain what I mean more fully (even though not agreeing with me ... at least knowing what I'm trying to say). In Russia today environmental campaigners ...... ----snip----- Nope. Even the big US environmental groups don't have that effect - they're not closet Commie Rats or whatever, they're closet corporations, more and more like the polluting corporations they purport to be fighting, and quite often in bed with them. ===== Get your free newsletter at http://www.ezinfocenter.com/3122155/NL __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
