Perhaps your area is different.  I'll not say that non-windows use is
huge, but its only growing.  Firefox has turned a lot of people on to
the open source world, as has Open Office.  This population is not
going to diminish.

There is a coming apocalypse for Windows.  Conficker is a good
example of whats coming.  People will be changing.  But enough
of that on this list.
