Pulling ethernet cable between rooms is less painful than one might
think.
At least compared to tracing intermittent wifi disturbances and flaky
wifi performance that can be a problem in an urban area with dozens of
other networks nearby. Or if you live in an old/large house .
Wifi takes some fiddling now and then shift channels to keep away from
neighbours optimizing antenna placements etc .

ethernet just works, pair it with static addressing of players and
servers and half the router and network could silently go south without
hiccups in the music.
