It would be great if these guys would make an offically blessed Dockerised version of LMS. I was going to post a reply to epoch1970's strange concerns over my container allowing minor updates-in-place. Notice that these guys also do this on some of their containers - it's where I got the idea from! I don't think there's any point in making a philosophical debate over it, you can simply choose not to update in place if you don't want to, and wait for (700Mb) image updates instead. Maybe someone decides to release image updates automatically from nightly releases, but IMO that's a bit overkill for our setting. Just use a well made image for each stable release and be happy. (By the way, 400Mb of the image size is due to the multiple CPAN library versions installed in the default deb file, which don't seem to compress as well in the docker image as they do in the deb file.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ justi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58046 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111828 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
