At last I was able to find time for some additional testing with
LMS7.9.3 in a container. I can confirm that scan/rescan works fine and
that it is possible to map more than one directory from the host to the
LMS container. Also Spotty, Material Skin and MAI works fine here. There
were some plugin updates which were downloaded without issues.

I think we can conclude that it is more or less ready for prime time ;-)

I know some other LMS images exist, does anyone know about the
differences?
Looking to the image itself (not the container) it would be nice if it
is possible to make it smaller, but I'm not a specialist on this
subject.
My next focus will therfore be the persistent storage via a Docker
volume instead of mappings to the host.
