I think this is the crux of your issue.  I think all employees have a
responsibility to themselves to know what their labor is worth.
Having an employer put it on the job listing isn't protecting you from
a bad employer.  There are websites that will tell what job x pays in
the area you live (it isn't always accurate, but it gives a range).
