Hi Matthias

Oki..
I hope you find a working solution that you need !

I will be looking forward to see what you come up with.

Thanks for sharing and good luck !

btw..
I have always wonder if one vsl material could be set up to give completly new variations of it, to each object in a level. I mean if you have a level with a lot of objects and apply one material to that level, then something in the material do so it applies differently for each object, making them uniquely rendered. Instead of having to apply a material to each and every on of the objects. (If you know what I mean)

Maybe something similar to how particles can be treated by a VSL objects in a VSL material, for applying material stuff based on the index of particles, so each specific particle is given wanted materialproperties.
(Though I found some bug in that vsl particle way)

Hi Stefan,

I was on the wrong, while searching for the "Set..Texture" ;-)
Hopefully I can fiddle out how to get the right "deep"
of the object, then it should be simple to set the right texture.
Maybe a structure like this:

level
--obj1-texture.fr.1
--obj2-texture.fr.2
--obj3-texture.fr.3
--obj4-texture.fr.4
--obj5-texture.fr.5

can do the trick, then it's fully ajustable.

I'll let you know, when it's finished
and post the result.

Matthias

Hi Matthias..

That was fast.. =)
Isnt that almost the case most times.. when we actually formulate the
question to others, we think better, faster and in other ways, that makes us
come up with the answer our selves.. ?..!

Its similar to when one helps others, one gets a better and deeper
understanding of what one already knows, and one even learns more than prior
to that point...!

Looks cool with a flipbook..!
Looking forward to see your final result on this, both as a final anim or
whatever you planing and the actual prj file.. (to see and learn from)

btw it should also be possible to do the same from an .avi or other video !?
Either via JS or Anim Input based.. to get each object to get a higher
numbered frame of the Video...!

Note:
I can also inform you that I finally did file a bugreport on the FE
issues...
Lets hope that will help, so they find and fix FE so it can be fully used !

Ha, found it:

Self.SetUVTextureMap("G:\\anim\\sphere0001.tga");
I'll post the final scene, if somebody is interested.

Hi All,

does anybody know how to set
a texture map via js in the object-properties :-?
For color, ok, "SetColor" but for textures :-?

I need it for something like this:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daumenkino

Hundreds of objects with textures
from an image sequence.
