Well, to really support VOS development we need to raise thousands of dollars (since we're talking about me being able to live independently for at least a year). Anything less than that won't do more than help defer the cost of the server that hosts interreality.org (which, if you are wondering, is on colocation hosting and costs about $100 a month, currently out of my pocket).
That said, there will probably come a point where I'll be making a serious fundraising effort, but that's a little bit in the future. I'm still in the planning stage at this point. Writing a business plan is almost as hard as writing software, but with none of the satisfaction of knowing you're done when it works ;-) On Tue, Jan 16, 2007 at 08:54:51PM -0500, Reed Hedges wrote: > Ken Taylor wrote: > > but if it makes > > you feel better, I certainly would click on the little "Donate to > > Interreality" paypal button if it ever appears ;) > > There's a link at the bottom of the webpage to a list of relevant books > and things on amazon, and we get a few bucks if you buy from that. > > Any suggestions on things to add to it? > > Reed > > _______________________________________________ > vos-d mailing list > vos-d@interreality.org > http://www.interreality.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vos-d -- [ Peter Amstutz ][ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ][ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ] [Lead Programmer][Interreality Project][Virtual Reality for the Internet] [ VOS: Next Generation Internet Communication][ http://interreality.org ] [ http://interreality.org/~tetron ][ pgpkey: pgpkeys.mit.edu 18C21DF7 ]
