That is certainly a defect. If you are using VOX for PTT you would not 
have a serious problem but I suspect any PTT switching is doing the same 
as the status indicator which is more serious.

I am not able to reproduce that in the current development version. I 
will check later in v1.5.0 and get back to you for more detailed steps 
if I can't get it there.
