I'm supposing that you have selected "alsa_input.pci-0000_03_06.0.analog-stereo" in the audio input setting in wsjtx. Be sure that you have something like "alsa_output.pci......." set as output. Please verify using pavucontrol: in "Input Devices", that you have the right port and that it's not muted. in "Recording" (when wsjtx is started), that the "QtPulseAudio" stream is present and not muted. Verify in "Output Devices" and "Playback" in a similar manner. If all that is unsuccessful, stop wsjtx and try to record a simple audio file using the ALSA utility, like: arecord -d 10 --vumeter=stereo -t wav -f dat -v /tmp/hugo.wav Verify that this sample file is OK.
