I had that problem early on with WSJT-X but not for the last several
releases. When I say I don't get any audio, I mean zero. The Application
based slider never shows up in pavucontrol during transmit.

Once I stop "transmitting" the waterfall freezes and all decodes stop.
Furthermore, when I exit wsjtx all seems fine but the process hangs so I
get the popup window if I try to run it again saying there's a lockfile. I
have to "killall wsjtx" before I can run it again.

I tried some very basic stuff using GDB but I'm not a debugging guru but I
didn't see anything of interest.
