Alcohol wasn't just made 100% illegal, first driving up demand, but then it was made legal to 18 and then 21 year olds to where it became the "gateway to cool".
Oh, and it's fucking advertised on everything. I'm not saying we could get rid of alcohol or any drug completely, but there are a lot of things we can do by making them legal and providing treatment to throw a wrench in the cartels, drive down demand, and actually start saving people and families - right now we just throw them in jail.
