Hi Christian, I had my TP connected directly to my Classé power amp via RCA cables. Two days ago, I upgraded to XLR balanced cables (with a pair of Endler attenuators with -16 dB attenuation) and I noticed a sound improvement in term of spatialization and high frequencies definition. This just finished convincing me about the benefits of a pre-amplifier free configuration. As your power amp has balanced input, it could be worth trying to connect the TP with XLR cables. However, you'll probably need some passive attenuation... I agree with dealer issue in Sitzerland; I had the same problem a few months ago before buying my system. Finally I took my TP to the dealer to test it with different power amplifiers.
