Well said Michael. I preordered the game for just that reason, As most of
you on here know I am an Atari nut anyway and I still have several
functioning atari systems around here. In fact I may even have the original
Monty around here somewhere. My point is what I am excited about is an
audio version of the original. Sure add a few new things if Thomas wants
to, but don't change the thing beyond recognition.

Regards,

Tom

That's not the point. We're not after realism here. Monty is a game of
reflexes, memory and discovery. It's not meant to be realistic. Those of us
who bought Monty and have been waiting for it for so long wouldn't be
thrilled if it was changed into a 3d game, It might very well turn out to be

an excellent game, but it just wouldn't be a conversion of the classic 1984
game of Montezuma's Revenge. There comes a point where adding new features
wrecks the game or changes it so drastically that it no longer even remotely

resembles the original. You're then talking about a whole different game.

But in 3D you have much more possibilities what to do.
And the biggest adwantage, it is more realistic as sidescroller.
