Ja, det må jeg håbe :-) Hvad sker der forresten hvis man slukker for varmen og lader gryden stå med den sidste gang humle?. Bliver det hele så mere bittert?

It is funny, that when you mash your grains, you get a wort that tastes awfully sweet. Then you boil it with hops, and get something that is awfully too bitter. Then you ferment it, and wait a while, and suddenly everything is well balanced. If you are sure that the beer really is too bitter, you can add that extract in it. That will make the beer stronger, and balance better with the bitterness. Theoretically you could also try to hide the bitterness with some spices, but that is advanced brewing... Finally, if the beer gets so bitter you don't want to drink it, make another batch with very few hops, and mix 50-50. But I guess the stuff will turn out all right. -H -- Heikki Levanto heikki at indexdata dot dk "In Murphy We Turst" _______________________________________________ Brygforum mailing list [email protected] http://www.haandbryg.dk/mailman/listinfo/brygforum
