Well, I have made a nice ale and a good stout with Safale. No problem
there. 

As to belgians, I feel that you need a belgian yeast to get the right
complexity in the taste. 

Make an experiment, ferment a small portion with one and another with
the other yeast. You'll be surprised how different they turn out!
