When you do a subinterface on a frame, once you do e point-to-point you cant go back a do multipoint or viceversa, even if you do "default interface serial 0/0.1111 point- to-point" or type "no interface serial 0/0.1111 point- to-point". The solution is you have to reload the router after you erase the serial config so you can change the the point-to-point or multipoint which takes time, Anybody has any other solution to this problem without the IOS reload
