True dat. Which is why I like Adam's State Waiver solution. It
provides a level of regulation I think is needed without being overly
punitive to gun rights.

I'm a gun owner and I want to keep my guns. One of my best friends is
a conceal-n-carry trainer and licensed gun dealer and I think can sell
fully auto or something like that (i tune out when he explains it).
Another friend is a Vietnam vet with a converted suburban that is
literally an armory; he makes he is own guns and I've shot some weird
shit he's come up with. The last was a .3006 pistol (with his own
custom ammo) he calls the handcannon - it knocked the glasses off my
face.

So I like guns and shoot them all the time. But I'm the first to
admit that I don't know shit about them and that's why I hang and
shoot with serious-ass professionals. It's the other people we pass
on the way to the private range that scare the shit out of me and
they're the reason I don't have a house in the woods: too many bullet
holes in them.
