fyi, insoshi has an active maintainer and is updated for rails 2.3.5.

a few hints about doing due diligence on projects:
1. if something is stable and functional, what good is activity?
2. for github projects, the activity you're looking for is often in
the forks.

if you consider forks, you will find that insoshi is not "dead in the
water"
