Paul::

When you talk about long distances in the Aircoupe, I feel qualified to
express an opinion, and offer
some advice.

I would never attempt to fly more than 250 miles in a leg, and fly no more
than 5 legs in a summertime
day. You need to consume lots of water or Gator Ade, to quell the cramps
in your legs, thereby
resulting in the short legs. Make sure you are full of the proper
nutrients prior to departure, nuts
for protein, vitamins and such, because the constant concentration is the
most debilitating fatigue of
all, and as you have noticed, the most subtle.

The Coupe can be a good platform for long distances, but try just three
legs a day, and enjoy the
scenery.

Best of luck
