I recently went to Idaho to fly wings. 3 hours over, one hour that day,
Very little sleep due to strange bed, stay up late visiting, roosters
at dawn, grandfather clock chiming every 15 minutes, etc. 2 more
hours of wings including the instrument & forced landing stuff the
following day, then 3 hours home. When I was 17 or 27 I would of
come home and partied a bit.

However at my present level of aged decrepitude, I was so tired that
when I approached my fuel stop I couldn't figure my entry angle into
the traffic pattern. I knew the runway, I knew my heading, but I couldn't
make the mental calculation. I solved it by overflying the field well
above
TPA and looking. (I was actually on the 45 heading approaching the
field<G>)

I realized that I was dangerously tired, and I'll use this knowledge to
reduce the size
of what I'll put on my plate in the future.
