Two easy days? What dream world do you live in? Figure this out. 3,000
miles equals 30 hours flight
time. Say it's a few miles less, and you have a tail wind. Still 25
hours flight time. Stop for fuel,
food, etc. every 350 miles, and that's another 7 hours. Better than 30
hours enroute time. It gets
light here now at 7:00 am. Dark at 6:00 pm. That's at best 10-11 hours
flight time per day. And, that
schedule would put strong men into an early grave. When I was young and
fit, I flew my Piper Colt home
from Fargo, ND in one day. about 1,000 air miles. Severe clear all the
way, but when I got home I was
so tired I wanted to die on the spot. Add the extra day, and arrive
alive.
