Peter,
I do exactly the same when landing. The only difference is I get
the
carb heat on a little sooner.
I also shut it off on base leg. It just don't make any sense to leave it
on
for touchdown.
The only time I have done it differently is when I was
intentionally
experimenting with the glide.
I thought it would be beneficial to land a few times without any power
just
to get a feel for what
