I have enjoyed Coupe Capers since the early 1980's. I also enjoy this forum. However, I don't think either is exclusive. 30 years ago that we were told in college that in a few short years, plastic would replace paper money and checks; that there would be no money as we know it. Well, we do have plastic (as they predicted), but we also STILL have money and paper checks. Print publications do not need to be replaced just because there is an electronic alternative (as I said before nethier is exclusive). And in my humble opinion, electronic will never totally displace print publications. In answer to Skip's rhetorical question printed in Coupe Capers; no it is not time to replace the print version with an electronic version. There will always be a place for, a need for, a desire for the print version as we know it. And regarding Skip, I have met him several times over the years at Sun-n-Fun, also have called him with questions, and written him with questions (which he answered in writing). I have been in several associations that had full time association management (whom managed several associations since that is their career) and I can see no problem with Skip having more than one type club that he is managing. I think he is doing a good job, that Coupe Capers is a fine little publication ( I read and save all mine). And if I can, here, I wish to send Skip Carden a word of encouragement and thanks for all he has done for us over the years and I hope that he will continue for some time to come. The electronic forum is a lot more interactive, very enjoyable, often with instant answers to our questions from someone knowledgable. The Coupe Capers is good for thoughtful, well researched, technical articles, news, and ads for members as well as ads from companies that support our Ercoupes in some form with parts or services. No Skip, printed Coupe Capers is not oblelete and probably never will be. I really look forward to my copy every month.
