SOLR-18006 has a work-around and was an issue starting in 9.9. IMO not blocker-worthy if I was the RM.
I finished porting the SolrJ changes I *really* wanted to do for 10. Jetty stuff is at least in a package with suitable naming, albeit not yet a subproject/module. A bunch of classes were moved as well. While there's no general HttpSolrClient yet either, it can be added.
