Rationale:

There should be a single education project for OpenOffice.org. This can
be done by moving the existing project that is within the marketing
project to standalone on its own. The aims of such a project would be:

To support educational pedagogy by using the community as a learning
resource.

To provide materials to support learning that are in open data formats
compatible with OpenOffice.org.

To enable students to learn how to participate and support the
development of OpenOffice.org

To foster good relations between the OpenOffice.org community and other
projects of educational interest around the world

To increase the take up of OpenOffice.org in education and training
environments.

If those with a current interest in education think its beneficial this
single project should be created as either an incubator or accepted
project. I would say there is a reasonable case for an accepted project
given that the project has been going for a while and provided a
committed Lead and Co-lead can be recruited.
