How does the car controls handle the possible partial reverse rotation of the engine when it stops? Is it just ignored and the timing for TDC is close enough on the next crank that it doesn't matter, then they resync when the missing tooth is found again?? Or do they sense the engine speed going to zero and then accelerating and declare that a reverse rotation instance on an engine stop?
