"GYaanam chetanaayaam nihitam" is the motto which appears along with the tree and roots as the logo of Maharishi's Prakashan organisation in India. Maharishi Prakashan have released various audio visual products including audio tapes and VCD's of Maharishi (including 'Glory to Mahalaxmi', 'Glory to Mahasarawati', 'Glory to Mahadurga' & 'Philosophy of Yoga' I have scanned an image of one of the VCD's and uploaded it to:- http://www.paulmason.info/GYaanam_chetanaayaam_nihitam.jpg Contact details of Maharishi Prakashan Maharishi Prakashan A-14, Mohan Estate, Mathura Road, New Delhi, 110 044 India Tel: +91-11-2695 9532 and +91-11-2695 9401 Fax: +91-11-2683-6682 E-mail: sa...@maharishiprakashan.net I note that this phrase, written in a slightly more simplified way as "Gyanam Chetanayam Nihitam" is mentioned on several Indian websites associated with Maharishi's movement:- www.mivms.com/image/DCA_MVM.pdf www.mivms.com/image/BCA_MVM.pdf www.cindia.org/Syllabus/BBA.pdf www.cindia.org/Syllabus/BCA_MVM.pdf As the phrase appears in the context of Maharishi's organisations, and since "GYaanam" roughly means 'knowlege', "chetanaayam" can mean 'consciousness' and "nihitaam" translates as 'placed', there is good reason to suppose this is the source Sanskrit. Perhaps it is not actually a Scriptural quotation, but if it is it would be nice to find it. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Vaj <vajradh...@...> wrote: > > > On Sep 30, 2009, at 6:34 PM, Premanand wrote: > > > 'Knowledge is Structured in Consciousness is apparently a > > translation of the Sanskrit "GYaanam chetanaayaam nihitam" - does > > anyone know where this line can be found? > >
