Okay, I'll grant you that -- I can't name you one poet who has come out
of the slam movement to achieve national recognition.

But when I go into bookstores I see lots of new books of poetry by poets
I have never heard of. None of which were published with government
support.

Can you name one poet that has come out of NEA support to achieve
national recognition (that didn't already have national recognition
before receiving NEA support)?
