I don't think that is logical, either -- it is the necessary result of a UI that ignores the fact that lyrics are assigned to notes within staves. That's why I think there should be a STAFF level in the UI. You are using VERSE or SECTION to get the same result, but as verses and sections are something you might actually need, you can run into problems there. -- David W.
