Yup, the manual currently covers almost all features that FG supports
"out-of-the-box", and so is an excellent reference.

Currently, I believe we have every mainstream feature covered. However, if
anyone has done something with FG that others can benefit from learning
about, I'd encourage them to write some text for the Manual, either as
pure text or as Latex, and send it to me for inclusion.

Alternatively, add it to the Wiki, from where we can transfer it in the
future.

The festival TTS merely adds voices to the ATC interactions that are
already present in FG. I believe work in this area is ongoing, but I don't
know if there will be progress to report in the next release.

BTW, I believe it was a design decision to start users on runways with ATC
clearance to take-off. Not especially realistic for those wanting to
simulate the entire flight, but easier for those who can't taxi ;)

I think you may be missing part of the en1_mbrola speech package. IIRC it
comes in two parts, one of which contains sound files and is a good couple
of MB in size. Do you have both?

Assuming you can see the text for the other aircraft etc. the likely
reason that you cannot hear them is that you don't have a full set of
voices installed. Your preferences.xml file includes mappings from the
voices in FG to the Festival TTS voices. The Manual lists a method to
determine what voices you have installed. Check that each voice listed in
the preferences.xml file exists in your festival install.

Actually, this is probably a deficiency in The Manual. If you are feeling
particularly public-spirited and have the time, could you write some text
to cover this?
