I always start the simulation sitting on the taxiway near the end of the
runway. So it is like I have just finished doing my magneto checks in the run
up area. Seems more realistic that way. Also prevents me from popping up on
the runway when someone else is about to take off or land in multi-user mode.
I know I really hate it when someone else pops up on the runway when I am on
approach. So I don't do that to anyone else.

I think part of it is missing or the installation didn't go right. If I do
the installed voices query in festival (as listed in the FG manual) it says I
have en1_mbrola, us1_mbrola, us2_mbrola and us3_mbrola. All of these work
except en1_mbrola. After changing voice_en1_mbrola to voice_us2_mbrola in
preference.xml this is now working. So it appears that en1_mbrola did not
install correctly for some reason. The us voice is better for me anyway.
