OK I recently received a QuickSilver from a friend of mine. His
company is discontinuing use of all macs, and I was lucky enough to
get one.
Here's the specs I know:
G4 PowerMac - Quicksilver
Zip Drive
60GB HD
256mb ram x3
So here's my questions:
1. The IT guys wiped the system before I got it, so i'm unsure what
other specs it has. (processor, superdrive?, etc) I tried booting OSX
on it, but I get the folder icon, with a ? in it, so i'm assuming it
doesnt have a SuperDrive. Anyway to tell for sure? I'd hate to
order one and find out it already has one in it, but some other issue
prevented OSX from booting...
2. If it doesnt have one, would any of the superdrives listed on
macsales.com work? Like the PIODVR110DBK for instance?
3. What type of ram do these take? At macsales.com it makes me
select which model of QuickSilver I have, and i'm unsure which model
I have exactly...
4. Do these have the same HD issue as the other g4's? Meaning 130GB
is the max drive size?
Thanks in advance!
